Resize Image to 100 KB

Make any photo smaller than 100 KB in one click. Forms for job portals and exam forms often reject pictures over 100 KB; this tool finds the best quality that still fits under the limit, so the photo stays as sharp as possible. It works on phones and computers, it is free, and your photo never leaves your device.

How to resize an image to 100 KB

  1. Select the photo. Click Select image or drop a JPG, PNG, WEBP or other image.
  2. Keep 100 KB as the target. The size is already set to 100 KB. Change it if your form asks for something else, for example 80 or 150 KB.
  3. Resize and download. Click Resize image, check that the new size is under the limit, then download the JPG and upload it to your form.

How the photo is brought under 100 KB

The tool first lowers the JPG quality step by step and keeps the highest quality that fits under 100 KB. Only if the lowest sensible quality is still too big does it make the picture smaller in pixels as well. That gives a sharper result than shrinking the picture straight away. If the form also asks for a size in pixels, switch to Width and height first, or use the image resizer.
