How to flip an image
- Select an image. Click Select image or drop a photo.
- Flip it. Click Flip horizontal to mirror left and right, or Flip vertical to turn it upside down.
- Download. Crop if needed and click Download image.
Horizontal or vertical?
Flip horizontal swaps left and right, like a mirror. Use it for selfies and for text that reads backwards. Flip vertical swaps top and bottom, for reflections in water or upside-down scans. Doing both is the same as rotating by 180 degrees, which you can also do with Rotate Image.
Why selfies look reversed
The front camera shows you a mirror image while you take the photo, and some phones save it that way. Others save it un-mirrored, which looks wrong to you because you are used to your mirror image. Flip it here to get the version you prefer.
