How to merge PDF files

  1. Choose your PDFs. Click Select PDF files and pick two or more PDFs (hold Ctrl or Cmd to pick several), or drop them into the box. You can add more later.
  2. Put them in order. Drag the files, or use the arrows, so they are in the order you want. Remove any file with the × button.
  3. Merge and download. Click Merge PDF and the combined PDF downloads straight away.

When to merge PDFs

Send one file instead of five: put your CV, cover letter and certificates together for a job application, join scanned pages of a form, combine monthly bank statements, or collect invoices and receipts for your accountant. One PDF is easier to email, upload to a portal and print.

Quality and file size

Pages are copied exactly as they are, so text stays sharp and searchable and images keep their quality. The merged file is about the size of all the PDFs added together. If it is too big to upload, make it smaller with Compress PDF.

Private: nothing is uploaded

Your PDFs are combined in your browser with open-source code (pdf-lib), so they never leave your device. To change the order of single pages after merging, use Organize PDF; to take some pages out again, use Split PDF or Extract pages.
