How to sign a PDF
- Open your PDF with Open a PDF. It loads in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
- Click Sign in the toolbar. Draw your signature with a mouse, touchpad or finger, or type your name and pick a handwriting style.
- Place it. Click where the signature goes, then drag the corners to resize it. Add the date next to it with Text.
- Download the signed PDF and send it back.

Is an electronic signature valid?
In most countries a signature added to a PDF is accepted for everyday agreements such as offer letters, rental forms, school forms and invoices. Some documents, such as property transfers or court papers, may need a certified digital signature or a wet signature; check with the person asking you to sign.
