How to make a quotation

Open the Quotation template, add your business name and logo, and fill in the client's details. List each product or service in the table with quantity, unit price and amount, then the subtotal, tax and estimated total. Add how long the quote is valid (for example 30 days), payment terms and delivery time, and download the PDF.

Quotation, estimate or proforma?

A quotation is a fixed price offer: if the client accepts it, that is the price. An estimate is a best guess that may change once work starts. A proforma invoice is sent before delivery, often for import, customs or advance payment, and looks like an invoice but is not a demand for payment. You can make all three from the same template by changing the title.

From quote to invoice

When the client accepts, open the invoice generator, copy the same items, and send the invoice. Using the same layout for both makes it easy for the client to check.
