How to write a teacher resume
Schools want to see what you teach, to whom and with what result. For each post, give the school, the classes or subjects, the number of pupils and one result, such as better exam or reading scores. Add extra roles (clubs, events, mentoring) because they show you take part in school life. List your teaching qualification (B.Ed, M.Ed, PGCE, QTS) near the top.
Teaching skills to include
- Lesson planning
- Classroom management
- Differentiated teaching
- Assessment and feedback
- Special needs support
- Google Classroom, MS Teams
- Parent communication
- Curriculum: Cambridge, Matric, IB
- Extracurricular activities
Fresh teacher with no experience?
Put your teaching practice or internship first, with the school and grades you taught. Add tutoring, volunteering and any training workshops. A short, warm profile about why you teach helps a lot.
