Why convert WEBP to PDF?
Pictures saved from websites are often WebP, but forms and offices want PDF. Converting the WebP to PDF gives you a document that opens on every device and can be printed or attached easily.
When to keep the WEBP
Keep the WebP if you only need the picture, for example to post it online, where a PDF would be awkward to view.
Tips for the best result
- Each image becomes one PDF page, the same size as the image, so nothing is cropped or stretched.
- Converting several WebP images? Download all lets you choose one combined PDF or separate PDFs.
- If the PDF must be small, convert WebP to JPG first and then JPG to PDF.
Common problems and fixes
- The PDF is bigger than the WebP.
- The picture is stored in the PDF without lossy compression. Go through JPG for a smaller file.
- Only one frame of an animation is in the PDF.
- PDF pages are still images, so the first frame of an animated WebP is used.
WEBP
WEBP – WebP
WebP is an image format developed by Google. It supports lossy and lossless compression, transparency and animation, and at comparable visual quality its files are usually smaller than JPG or PNG. That is why it is popular for websites, and current versions of all major browsers can display it.

Frequently asked questions
Can I print the PDF on A4 paper?
Yes. Choose Fit to page in the print dialog and the picture is scaled to the paper.
Is the text in the picture searchable?
No. The PDF contains the image; making its text searchable needs OCR software.
How do I convert WEBP to PDF?
Click Select File or drop your WebP file onto the upload box. The converted PDF appears in the list below with a download button. You can add many files at once and download them together as a ZIP.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up and no watermark. To keep the service available for everyone there is a 95MB limit per file and a cap on how many files one connection can process in a short period.
Are my files stored?
Your upload is used only to make the converted file. Images are processed in memory; other files are written to a private temporary folder that is deleted as soon as the conversion finishes. Nothing is kept after the result has been sent back.
Will quality drop?
For images, a little, by design: the image is re-encoded at the Quality you choose (default 75%). Audio and video are re-encoded with high-quality settings; documents keep their text and layout as far as the target format allows. Converting never restores detail that is already missing from the original.
How this works: your file is uploaded over HTTPS and converted on this server with open-source engines (libvips for images, FFmpeg for audio and video, LibreOffice and Pandoc for documents, Calibre for ebooks, Ghostscript and Inkscape for PDF and vector files). Images are processed in memory; other files use a private temporary folder that is deleted as soon as the conversion finishes.
